What will you be doing?
- Video interns will work with CNN’s archive collection through such projects as applying metadata to archived footage, working with bureau field tape collections, and learning about videotape preservation.
- The video interns will assist archive librarians on our video reference desk, providing video research to CNN news staff worldwide in a fast-paced environment.
- Editorial research interns will participate in various projects using a variety of subscription-based databases, traditional reference sources, and the Internet.

Corpus Christi, TX
|The Ed Rachal Foundation, a private non-profit foundation, is funding a digitization project in Corpus Christi, Texas. A Digital Archivist is needed to develop and implement a comprehensive digital archives program. This is a new and exciting position that has an opportunity to be part of a large digitization effort in South Texas. The Digital Archivist will have the ability to build and shape this initiative from the beginning.
The initial project for which the Digital Archivist is needed is to implement policies and procedures to enhance the accessibility and discoverability of over 200,000 photographs. The digitization center established for this initial project will be state of the art and will have the ability to serve the needs of the South Texas region. The University of Southern California (USC) Libraries seek an Archive Specialist to organize, rehouse, and process archival collections using standard practices and applications. The Archive Specialist position is a Fixed-Term staff position split between the East Asian Library and the Cinematic Arts Library.
The Archivist will process the archive collection(s) useful to a wide variety of faculty and researchers by organizing collections so that records of high historical and informational values are preserved and easily accessible. Provides specialized support to a unit in a school or university department to organize, process and catalog archival collections and create finding aids for selected collections in accordance with departmental guidelines and standards. Plans and carries out a variety of duties affiliated with archival and selective preservation of collection items including but not limited to receiving, arranging, cataloging, collection preservation, and finding aid development. The candidate must also be knowledgeable concerning current archival theory and practice and be able to apply this understanding. Duties may include weekend and evening hours. Continue reading

The role of the Senior Manager Rights Acquisitions will work with publishers internationally to attain permission for the commercial distribution of their digitized newspaper archives.
