Founded in 1979, Checkerboard Film Foundation has documented the creative process of artists making unique and important contributions to the American arts.  Our collection of over 55 films is distributed to a broad range of educational institutions, film festivals, patrons of the arts, as well as broadcast on cable and public television in the U.S. and abroad.  Our archive includes interviews with approximately seventy artists, as well as many art historians, museum curators, writers, etc.  In total, we have amassed footage of over 370 important art world individuals.  To view our activities, please see our website: www.checkerboardfilms.org.

As part of its ongoing mission to document, preserve, and make accessible this important footage for future generations, Checkerboard is seeking an intern to help us protect the integrity of the archive by digitizing, backing up, and cataloging our video and film media assets on duplicate archival systems.  Continue reading
