Position Overview

The Department of Archives & Special Collections within Libraries & Cultural Resources invites applications for a Audiovisual Preservation Technician. This Full-time Fixed Term position is for approximately 12 months (based on length of grant funding), with the possibility of extension.

This position reports to the Associate University Librarian, and will work closely with the Project Manager and with the LCR Project Team for a specially-funded digital reformatting and audiovisual preservation planning project supported by The Andrew W. Mellon Foundation. The Audiovisual Preservation Technician will work with a team in Libraries and Cultural Resources to develop a program that will identify, reformat and provide access to valuable audiovisual collections from the EMI Music Canada Archive.
